Our field-guide values

No. 01

Adventure

Hikes, creeks, farms, wildlife, and wide-open afternoons. We follow trails — and curiosity — wherever they lead.

No. 02

Creativity

Sketchbooks, songs, makers, and storytellers. Big imagination is the most important supply on the bus.

No. 03

Community

Families sharing skills, snacks, and Saturday mornings. We grow up alongside one another.

No. 04

Stewardship

Leave it better than you found it. We tend the trails, gardens, and creeks that shape our childhoods.

No. 05

Curiosity

Questions are sacred. Mistakes are interesting. Notebooks fill up faster than the cooler.

No. 06

Wonder

The bus runs on wildflowers, river light, and the quiet awe of a kid finding their first fossil.

Our weekly rhythm

Adventure, then integration

Every month follows a simple rhythm — three weeks of exploring, one week of resting, reflecting, and letting the magic settle.

Monday

Nature & Hiking Day

Outdoor skills, teamwork, nature connection, and the kind of dirt that means a day well-spent.

Tuesday

Adventure Day

Farms, gardens, makerspaces, beekeepers, restoration projects, and visits with local experts.

Wednesday

Creative Day

Art, storytelling, movement, reflection, and hands-on projects that grow from the week's wonderings.

“The Magical Unschool Bus isn't about filling every day — it's about creating unforgettable ones.”
