Parent Participation Agreement
& Liability Waiver

Magical Unschool Bus is a community-based, parent-led co-op. It is not a licensed childcare program, school, or therapeutic service.

Activities are facilitated by parents, volunteers, and trusted community members who generously share their time, interests, and skills.

I understand that outdoor adventures involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Hiking on uneven terrain
• Creeks, ponds, and other natural water features
• Slippery rocks, logs, and trails
• Wildlife, insects, and plants
• Weather conditions
• Physical activity, climbing, running, and active play
• Transportation between activities (when applicable)

I voluntarily choose for my child to participate and understand that these risks cannot be completely eliminated.

As a participating family, I agree to:

• Provide accurate emergency contact and medical information.
• Inform Adventure Leaders of any allergies, medical conditions, or behavioral needs.
• Ensure my child arrives with appropriate clothing, food, water, and supplies.
• Pick up my child on time.
• Help reinforce respectful, kind, and safe behavior within the group.
• If my child requires one-on-one support beyond what the group can reasonably provide, I understand I may be asked to remain present during activities.

To help protect everyone in our community, I agree to keep my child home if they are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other significant symptoms.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Adventure Leaders to seek appropriate medical care for my child if I cannot be reached immediately.

I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical treatment my child receives.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I voluntarily assume the risks associated with participation in Magical Unschool Bus activities.

I release and hold harmless Magical Unschool Bus, its organizers, volunteer leaders, participating families, and community volunteers from claims arising out of ordinary negligence related to participation in co-op activities.

This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct.

Magical Unschool Bus exists because families choose to show up for one another.
